Modular Passive Armor
Gravix Dynamics' Modular Passive Armor Systems are configurable add-on protection solutions intended for vehicle upgrade, retrofit and platform-specific integration across armored fleets.
One protection program. Five passive armor families.
The MPA program supports different vehicle classes, weight budgets and integration requirements while retaining a common emphasis on modularity, field replacement and retrofit compatibility.
Replaceable Modules
Panelized architecture supports inspection, servicing and vehicle-specific replacement.
Mission-Appropriate Protection
Different passive technologies can be selected according to platform constraints and qualification requirements.
Fleet Upgrade Focus
Designed around both new-build integration and upgrade of existing armored vehicle fleets.
Five technology lines.
Final protection ratings remain configuration- and qualification-dependent.
Steel Appliqué Armor

- Custom panel geometry for vehicle zones
- Compatible with broader survivability systems
Ceramic-Composite Armor
The highest-end passive armor line in Program 02, combining ceramic and composite technologies in replaceable modules.
- High-performance lightweight development path
- Modular panel and tile-based design options
- Suitable for weight-sensitive armored vehicle upgrades
- Qualification tailored to platform requirements
Integration across armored fleets.
Intended for new-build and retrofit applications where modular external protection and platform-specific weight management are required.
Progressive passive-protection capability.
Program 02 develops from conventional modular armor toward increasingly weight-efficient multi-material systems.
Configuration-led protection.
Public specifications are intentionally limited to integration characteristics. Exact armor architecture and verified protection ratings belong to the qualified customer configuration.
Upgrade without redesigning the complete vehicle.
The program emphasizes replaceable modules, controlled interfaces and vehicle-specific packaging.
- Vehicle survey before detailed integration
- Mass and center-of-gravity assessment
- Maintenance access, doors, hatches and sensors preserved
- Environmental, vibration and attachment qualification
- Ballistic claims only for documented validated configurations
Frequently asked questions.
Can MPA systems be installed on existing armored vehicles?
Yes. Retrofit is a core use case, subject to vehicle survey, mounting assessment, mass review and configuration-specific qualification.
Are all five families intended for every vehicle?
No. Selection depends on vehicle class, allowable mass, geometry, mobility, maintenance and required protection.
Does this page state a fixed ballistic protection level?
No. Protection ratings should only be published after the exact production configuration completes its qualification and test program.
